On October 22, HISA’s Next Generation Advisory Group held its latest meeting in-person at Rood and Riddle in Lexington, Kentucky. Comprised of horsemen, veterinarians, jockeys, horseplayers and other racing participants, the Next Generation Advisory Group provides feedback to HISA’s executive team and Standing Committees on the implementation and evolution of HISA’s regulations.

The group met the first day for a wide array of discussions with HISA and HIWU’s executive teams. Discussed topics included jockey wellness initiatives, stewarding, investigations and testing strategy, and ADMC Program education and science. The following morning included a tour of the test barn and an explanation of the full testing process and chain of custody.
