As the Director of Operations and Compliance, Anjali Salooja oversees all compliance systems and procedures for the organization, ensuring HISA remains compliant with the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act. She also provides daily operational and long-term planning support for new initiatives designed to promote equine and jockey health and safety.

Prior to joining HISA, Salooja served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at the National Basketball Association, where she oversaw the Anti-Drug Program, implemented player health and safety protocols and provided advice on labor, sponsorship and governance matters to its affiliate leagues. Salooja began her legal career as a corporate associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, following her graduation from Harvard Law School.
